Kevin Gunderson (Born
September 16 ,1984 inPortland, Oregon ) is aMinor League Baseball pitcher who played for theOregon State Beavers ofOregon State University before being drafted by theAtlanta Braves .College career
Gunderson pitched for Oregon State from 2004-2006, including pitching games in the
2006 College World Series . He had a key part in the final series between Oregon State and theNorth Carolina Tar Heels . Gunderson had relief stints in games two and three of the final series, picking up the win in game two and a save in game three. At Oregon State he majored in Communications, and was anAll-America n in both 2005 and 2006. He was also a member of the Team USA national team.Minor League career
Gunderson was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the fifth round of the 2006
MLB draft . After signing he was sent to play for theDanville Braves to have aMinor League Baseball career before having a shot in the big leagues. After pitching just one game for Danville, because the college season runs into part of the rookie minor league season, Gunderson was relocated to theRome Braves . He moved up to the A-AdvancedMyrtle Beach Pelicans in April, 2007.Personal life

Kevin graduated from Portland's Central Catholic High School where he was a member of their basketball team as well as a standout baseball player.
