Querétaro ,Mexico .History
Hmmm, you would expect a school to respect the fact that wikipedia is an effort to obtain real, unbiased info. Yet JFK INSISTS in using it as an adveritising means. They must not care much about their credibility. Read the article. Surely, you'll agree:In 1964 a group of
Querétaro businessmen, headed by the TREMEC Company, established a bilingual and bicultural school for the children of its foreign executives whose studies would be accepted in both Mexico and the United States. The school started with 30 students. Its original location was in the Cimatario section of Querétaro. With sixty students, the growing school moved to the Hacienda la Laborcilla; in 1967 the Pre-school section was started and the Middle School section was started in 1968. In 1970 the school was relocated to its present site in the Jurica Campestre section on land comprising nearly 15 acres, donated by the Torres Landa family. In 1989 the High School Section began operations, with several companies and 50 families sponsoring the construction. In 1994 the school acquired an adjacent 1 1/2 acre lot with the idea of constructing a combination auditorium/gymnasium.
Thus was born the John F. Kennedy School, The American School of Querétaro, as a non-profit secular coeducational institution which promotes excellent academic preparation for its students.
Today, thanks to the work of the school's governing board, assembly members, administrators, support staff, teachers, parents, and students, the John F. Kennedy School is recognized throughout Mexico and abroad as an excellent educational institution whose graduates attend many national and international colleges and universities.
