"Invincible" is a song by British rock band Muse and is the sixth track on their fourth album "Black Holes & Revelations". The song was also released as the fourth single from that album in the United Kingdom on April 9, 2007 (see 2007 in British music).cite web|title=Muse confirm new single|publisher=NME|date=2007-02-23|accessdate=2007-02-23|url=http://www.nme.com/news/muse/26647] The single debuted at #21 on April 15, becoming the first single from "Black Holes and Revelations" not to debut in the Top 20 the first week physical formats were available.cite web|title=BBC - Radio 1 - Chart - Singles|work=UK Singles Chart|url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/singles.shtml|accessdate=2007-04-15] The song has been compared by fans to Keane's "Everybody’s Changing" due to its similar chord progression on the verse and an identic on the chorus; however according to Bellamy it was based on David Bowie’s "Heroes". It also bares a striking resemblance to "Can't Help Falling In Love" by UB40.

Song lyrics talk about an alternate concept of love, similar to Coldplay’s "Fix You" about the support someone can give to his loved one or, however, as suggested by the video, the struggle for the survival of human kind.

Music video

The music video was directed by Jonnie Ross.cite web|title= Invincible Music Video|publisher=Muselive|date=2007-02-25|accessdate=2007-02-26|url=http://www.muselive.com/index.php?m=single&id=2754] The video premiered in the United Kingdom on the 16 March 2007 at around 11:50pm on Channel 4. It can be seen at the band's official website. The song's length in the video is shorter than the album version but longer than the radio edit, lasting 4:30. It was filmed in Dublin Ireland before a concert.cite web|title= Invincible Music Video|publisher=Microcuts.net|date=2007-03-04|accessdate=2007-03-05|url=http://www.microcuts.net/uk/news/archives/03042007-invincible_video.php]

The music video features the band playing though an "It's a Small World"-styled amusement park ride that goes through the events of the history of the world, including prehistoric dinosaur times, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome and World War I. There are also allusions to the September 11, 2001 attacks and evolution. The climax involves extraterrestrials with UFOs and giant mouse robots attacking the modern city. Humanity sounds the alarm, and all eras come to fight back.
