Cambridge and Huntingdon railway

Cambridge and Huntingdon railway

The Cambridge and Huntingdon railway (or Cambridge & St. Ives Branch) was a branch of the Great Eastern Railway serving stations at Histon, Oakington, Longstanton, Swavesey, St Ives Junction, Godmanchester, and Huntingdon East. It met the Ely and St Ives Railway and the March and St Ives railway at St Ives Junction.

Future of the railway

The section between St Ives Junction and Cambridge (level crossing on A1309 Milton Road) has now been dismantled, and is being converted for use as the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway.
