BBallHOF =Frosty Westering was a head football coach most notably for his tenure at
Pacific Lutheran University , coaching from 1973 to 2002. He also coached atParsons College , from 1962 to 1963, andAlbert Lea College , from 1966 to 1971. His career record, 301-97-7, is a NAIA record for most coaching wins, and he ranks ninth in wins among all college coaches.Under Westering, Pacific Lutheran won four national titles (three NAIA titles and one NCAA Division III title).
After Westering retired, his son Scott took over as head coach of the Pacific Lutheran football team. He still coaches football at Pacific Lutheran today.
Well known for his motivational speaking and his efforts to spread his positive outlook on life, Westering has written a popular book "Make the Big Time Where You Are."
