Telefon Tel Aviv is a Chicago-based electronic-music group that relocated from New Orleans in 2001 and is primarily known for its work in electronica.

Formed in 1999 by Charles Cooper and Joshua Eustis, its first album was released in the fall of 2001 to positive reviews. In 2002, the group released an EP on the Hefty Records Immediate Action label. In 2004, the duo's second full-length album, and in 2007, it released a compilation album of remixes appropriately titled "Remixes Compiled". The group has finished its third full-length LP, titled "Immolate Yourself", with a release date of 20 January 2009, to be released on their new label, BPitch Control. A preview of the track "Helen of Troy" from the new album is now available on Pitchfork. * Charlie Cooper is an avid shoe collector, and has been known to take up to 21 pairs of shoes while on tour.
