History

*1202 - First notice about village Kossow. This is found in documents belonging to prince Konrad Mazowiecki.
*1723 - Permit to organize a market two times in a week and a fair four times in a year. Kosów was started a city.
*XVIII century - In Kossów there existed two church schools. 40 percent of students were girls.
*1869 - Canceled civic rights, because Kosów participate in The January Uprising.
*1964 - In the presbytery in Kosów Lacki found a picture "Saint Francise ecstasy" which is made by El Greco.
*01.01.2000 - Restoration of civic rights.
