Sir Thomas Aston, 1st Baronet (29 September 1600 – 24 March 1646) was an English politician.
Born in Shropshire, he was the son of John Aston and Maud Needham. Aston was educated at Brasenose College, Oxford, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1619. The next year, he was called to the Bar by Lincoln's Inn. On 25 July 1628 he was created a Baronet, of Aston in the Parish of Runcorn in the County of Chester. Aston was Sheriff for Cheshire between 1635 to 1636 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Cheshire between April and May 1640.
Aston was a Royalist and Captain of a troop of horse he had raised. He fought for King Charles I in the Battle of Nantwich on 28 January 1642, however lost to the Parliamentary General Sir William Brereton. Having been captured, Aston was killed on the flight by a blow to the head four years later. He was buried in Aston in Cheshire.
In 1672, Aston married firstly, Magdalen Poulteney, daughter of Sir John Poulteney and secondly in 1639 , Anne Willoughby, the daughter of Sir Henry Willoughby, 1st Baronet. He had a daughter and a son, Willoughby Aston by his second wife.
