Elaine F. Sciolino is an American journalist who was the Paris bureau chief of "The New York Times" from 2002 to 2008. [ [http://www.eaccfrance.com/page.php?id=75 The European American Chamber of Commerce website] ]

Sciolino joined the "Times" in 1984. Previous posts at the "Times" include:

She received her B.A. from Canisius College in 1970 and her M.A. from New York University in 1971.
