He now lives in Atlanta in the United States and swims for Dynamo swim club. His waterpolo career began when he started swimming: his coach Azria Polalatka noticed him at a match and promoted him to lead striker and team captain.
He is nationally ranked for his striker position. In 2005-2006 he was 4th in the USWPA and 2nd in the IWPA. His main weapon is his large shoulders and height: he overpowers his opponents and has incredible accuracy with the ball.
