Meadowridge School is an independent, secular, coeducational, university preparatory school in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada, catering to students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.

About the School

The school's mission statement is "Learning to Live Well, With Others and For Others, in a just Community."

According to the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Times, Meadowridge School has topped the charts in provincial elementary school education according to the first Report Card on B.C.'s Elementary Schools, released Sunday by the Fraser Institute. But the headmaster of the Maple Ridge private school was highly critical of the report card - and said it could lead to the decline of elementary education. t "We are not proud of our number-one ranking, because it is not a meaningful statistic," said Hugh Burke, headmaster of Meadowridge. "I would not choose an elementary school based on the Fraser Institute's ratings."

For the past several years, Meadowridge has tied with several other private schools in BC with a 10 out of 10 in the Fraser Institute's report card.

In 2006, the school gained widespread media attention in the Vancouver Sun, CITY TV and other provincial media throughout B.C. with their unique offering of a grade 11 course in Forensic Science. Meadowridge is also known for being the school at which Canadian race car driver Greg Moore once attended. His banner hangs in the school gymnasium in Greg's honor.^{[citation needed]}

Meadowridge is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, and claims to be one of the only authorized schools in British Columbia to offer both IB Primary and Middle Years Programs. Meadowridge is a member of the Canadian Educational Standards Institute (CESI), and the Canadian Association of Independent Schools (CAIS). e
