Buckskin Joe is a Western-style theme park and railway near Cañon City, Colorado, USA. It is located one mile south of U.S. Route 50 along the road to the Royal Gorge Bridge.

Buckskin Joe Frontier Town and Railway is an authentic old west theme park located 8 miles west of Cañon City, Colorado, on the road to the Royal Gorge. Features of the park include gun fights, 30 authentic buildings from the Colorado 1800's frontier, themed entertainment, full service saloon and [http://www.buckskinjoe.com/restaurant restaurant] . There is also the Mystery House and a horse-drawn trolley ride that help to complete this uniquely wild west experience.

Buckskin Joe was built in 1958 and will celebrate its 50 year of operation in 2008. It is a renowned western movie filming location with 21+ films to their credit. Such great films like "Cat Ballou", "The Cowboys" and "The Sacketts" have been filmed on location at Buckskin Joe. This town has also been featured on the History Channel's "Haunted Rockies Series" for the unexplained happenings that have been prevalent throughout the years.

The most recent venture is Buckskin Joe's [http://www.townofterror.com Town of Terror] voted the best Halloween haunted attraction in Colorado, two years in a row. Every October the staff of Buckskin Joe transforms this mild mannered attraction into a completely sinister haunted attraction, capitalizing on the town's real haunted history. This haunt is very scary and not recommended for children under twelve. Some of the visitors to the haunt claim to have experienced an actual paranormal experience.

The 1991 television feature "Conagher" starring Sam Elliott, Katharine Ross, Ken Curtis, and Barry Corbin was filmed at Buckskin Joe's. "Conagher" was the last film in which Curtis appeared.
