Description

This species was first described by Telford and Landau in 1987. Telford S. R. JR and Landau I. (1987) "Plasmodium brygooi" sp.n. from "Chamaeleo brevicornis" of Madagascar, with a redescription of "Plasmodium robinsoni" (Brygoo, 1962) from its type host and an additional host "Chamaelo parsoni crucifer". Ann. parasitol. hum. comp. 62(5) 395 - 404 ]

Geographical occurrence

This species is found in Madagascar.

Clinical features and host pathology

The only known host is the chameleon ("Chamaeleo brevicornis").
