1585 -May 16 ,1659 ) was a Japanese samurai of theAzuchi-Momoyama period through earlyEdo period . The son ofKatakura Kagetsuna , Shigenaga was the 2nd man to bear the common name Kojūrō. Sanada Yukimura , and following the Osaka Campaign, Shigenaga assisted many of the masterless former Sanada retainers.He was succeeded by his son Kagenaga.
