Three car bombs exploded in mainly Shia areas of Baghdad, killing at least 63 people and injuring more than 120 on February 18, 2007. It happened despite a huge military offensive was going on, led by US and Iraqi troops.

Those blasts come just two days after Iraq's prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, described Operation Imposing Law as a "brilliant success" as levels of violence in Baghdad appeared to fall.
