The Binghamton Fire Department is comprised of a staff of 124 paid uniform fire-fighters and three civilian employees.
The department operates out of six stations, as follows:
Station 1 - Engine 21-1, EMS 21-1
Station 2 - Quint 21-2, EMS 21-2, spare rescue
Station 3 - Quint 21-3, EMS 21-3, Ambulance 7123 (reserve)
Station 4 - Engine 21-4, EMS 21-4, Ambulance 7124 (reserve)
Station 5 (HQ) - Car 21 (on duty Chief), Tower 21, Rescue 21, Ambulance 7121, Ambulance 7122 (reserve), Boat 21-1, Boat 21-2
Station 6 - Engine 21-6, EMS 21-6, Haz-Mat 21The department also operates a separate training facility, including smoke tower, and a repair shop.
