The Mount, Belfast

The Mount, Belfast

The Mount is an electoral ward of East Belfast. It was created in 1973 being carved out of the large Pottinger ward. It expanded in 1985 and to a lesser degree in 1993. Under current proposals for the review of local government in Northern Ireland the ward is to be abolished and replaced by a new Beersbridge ward.
