- Yaesu FT-107M
The Yaesu FT-107M is an
amateur radio from the1980s with many of the features found on common radios. The modes include:
*LSB
*USB
*CW.W
*CW.N
*FSK
*AMNotably the FT-107M has memory for storing frequencies/ scanning for active frequencies.Parts for this radio are very hard to get, with old sets becoming vintage models now. The FT-107M is a 100
watt output radio withdigital and analogue modes.Unusally for amateur radio equipment it was manafactured in a colour that is not grey or black. Depending on your tastes the cream coloured finish can be quite pretty and definitely unusual. The complete lineup of the FT-107 and it's matching tuner, vfo, psu and more is quite an impressive and to any amateurs quite a pretty sight.
There are not many of these radios still about. Many have succumbed to the ravages of time and simply worn out but so few were sold in comparison to other rigs of the same vintage that there was never going to be many left operating as the years passed.
