"Feedback 86" is a solo album by guitarist Steve Hackett. The album is a collection of songs written in 1986 but put on the shelf. Some of the songs were supposed to be on the aborted second GTR album.

Much of the material on this album had been heard in some form on earlier releases.
* A different version of "Cassandra", with vocals by Steve, was used as an unlisted bonus track on the original 1993 U.S. & Israel releases of "Guitar Noir".
* A live GTR version of "Prizefighters" was released on the GTR "King Biscuit Flower Hour" CD in 1997.
* "Stadiums Of The Damned" & a modified version of "The Gulf" were released as bonus tracks on the 1994 reissue of "Till We Have Faces".
* Part of the tune to "Don't Fall" was used in the song "Higher Ground" from "Blues With A Feeling" (1994).
* An instrumental version of "Oh How I Love You" was released on the live CD "There Are Many Sides To The Night" (1995).
