-
This article is about the missionary place. For the LA Metro station, see Mission (LACMTA station).
A religious mission or mission station is a location for missionary work. While primarily a Christian term, the concept of the religious "mission" is also used prominently by the Church of Scientology and their Scientology Missions International. Missions are religious communities. They were meant to convert Indians into Catholics. They had a good water supply, they consisted of churches, gardens, fields, barns, workrooms, and dormitories.
