No Ripcord is an online music and film magazine based in Sheffield, England.
History
The website was originally created in April 1999 by editor-in-chief David Coleman and A.M. Booth. The current version of the site, which launched on 27 April 2008, was designed by Sean Hodge and developed by Ronny López using Drupal.
No Ripcord celebrated its tenth anniversary in April/May 2009 by publishing a special series of features, which focused on the last decade of music and the role of the music critic. The site's "Believe The Hype" section provides a round-up of essential new releases.
No Ripcord's album reviews are used by notable aggregator Metacritic to compile weighted average scores for new releases.[1]
