The International Center for Law and Religion Studies at Brigham Young University was founded in the late 1990s to promote freedom of religion and study the relations between governments and religious organizations. A main project of the Center is hosting an International Law and Religion Symposium, now in its fourteenth year. The symposium hosts over a hundred delegates from dozens of countries.
The Center also hosts the Strasbourg Conference as well as running "Religlaw" an online document collection for laws respecting religion.
