- Kingwell Hurdle
The Kingwell Hurdle is a Grade 2 National Hunt horse race in the
United Kingdom for four-year-old and above horses. It is run over a distance of 2mile s (3,219 metres) atWincanton Racecourse in February. There are eight hurdles to be jumped in the race.It is an important trial race for the
Champion Hurdle and "Kribensis", "Alderbrook", "Hors La Loi III" (2002) and "Katchit" all won both races in the same year. "I'm Supposin" and "Rhinestone Cowboy" went on to finish third in the Champion Hurdle in the same year as winning this race. The 2005 winner, "Inglis Drever", subsequently won theWorld Hurdle . "Alderbrook" and "Azertyuiop" both won the Kingwell Hurdle as novices.Winners since 1988
