Len Leonard (b. Leonard Carparelli, Jr.
22 August , 1950) is amusician ,songwriter andguitarist originally from theNew York area.As a professional session musician, working extensively at the
Record Plant and theHit Factory , he has worked on recording sessions with such artists asJoe "King" Carrasco ,Ellie Greenwich ,Joan Jett ,Stevie Nicks ,Janna Allen ,Tom Petersson fromCheap Trick , Pegi andAstrid Young , and many others.However, he is most well known as the lead guitarist for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and recorded their last CD before Butterfield's untimely death in 1986. In that last incarnation of the PBBB, the line-up also included
Paul Shaffer andAnton Fig from theDavid Letterman Band, andBlondie Chaplin , (who is now touring withThe Rolling Stones ).Leonard was also a member of the California band 'Desberardo' in 1988-89 (formerly 'Sleeper') and with that outfit, he co-wrote songs with Four Seasons producer
Bob Crewe and "Green Eyed Lady" vocalist Jerry Corbetta of Sugarloaf.
