Description

"Telengard" features a 50-level/2-million room algorithmically created permanent dungeon, twenty different types of monsters to battle, and thirty-six spells that players can cast. [http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/11/11702.phtml] Among other things, there are fountains from which to drink with varying results, a jeweled throne upon which to sit, an altar upon which to donate gold, a strange multicolored treasure box, and a misty teleport cube. Magic weapons, armor, scrolls and potions are available to players who can find them.

Platforms

"Telengard" appeared on the following platforms: Commodore PET, the Apple II+, the TRS-80, the Atari 400/800, the Commodore 64, IBM PCjr, and the IBM PC. Many ports and emulations are available for modern computers. The IBM PC version is available as a free download from the author's site.

In 2008, a fan remade "Telengard" for the Windows platform. [http://www.retroremakes.com/forum2/showcase/view.php?gm=244]
