Tintic High School is a small rural high school in the
Tintic School District . There are approximately 120 students in grade 7-12. Tintic High School is located inEureka, Utah in Juab County. The school is classified as a 1A school by the Utah Activities Association. They participate in girl's volleyball, basketball, and track and boy's baseball, basketball and track. There are also activities in music with a pep, jazz, concert, and marching band. There is a special education program as well at vocational, technology, home economics, and core curriculum programs.Some of the teachers in the
school had graduated from high school here. There is a mentoring program in place for the new teachers. The components of the mentoring program cover the following items: daily schedule, lesson plans, activities, student discipline, and school traditions.__ToC__
Band
Tintic High School it the only 1A school in
Utah to have amarching band . On July 4, 2007, they participated in anIndependence Day parade inMurray, UT . The band also plays pep, jazz, and concert music. In 2007 they competed for region concert and region jazz. They won both competitions.The band also played in theLittle America hotel inSalt Lake City, Utah for the Utah School Board's convention. During spring of 2008 THS band was able to go to Disneyland and perfom.References
