Żarów [IPA-pl|'|ż|a|r|u|f] ( _de. Saarau) is a town in Świdnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Żarów. Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. (For more information about the history of the region, see Silesia.)

The town lies approximately convert|11|km|mi|0 north-east of Świdnica, and convert|45|km|mi|0 south-west of the regional capital Wrocław.

As at 2006, the town has a population of 6,902.
