This is a list of medalists from the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in women's cross country skiing.

10 km

Debuted: 1954. Not held: 1993-9. Resumed: 2001.

30 km (20 km: 1978-87)

Debuted: 1978. Event cancelled: 2001.

1993-9: 5 km classical interval start, followed by 10 km freestyle pursuit. Run on separate days.
2001: 5 km classical interval start, followed by 5 km freestyle pursuit. Run later on same day.
2003: 5 km classical mass start, exchange skis, boots, and poles, followed by 5 km freestyle, run immediately on same day.
Since 2005: 7.5 km classical mass start, exchange skis, boots, and poles, followed by 7.5 km freestyle, run immediately on same day

Individual sprint

Debuted: 2001.

Team sprint

Debuted: 2005.
