Calum Scott MacLeod (born
15 November ,1988 ) is a Scotland professional cricketer who played in the2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup inSri Lanka .As a youth Calum played for Drumpellier CC before moving to the Scottish National Cricket League Premier Div with Uddingston CC, as an opening or new ball bowler and middle order batsman. After making some 70 appearance with Scotland age group sides (U12 to U23), he secured a retainer contract with Warwickshire for the 2006 season, to play U17, U19 and 2nd XI cricket. Awarded an improved contract for 2007, he ended the season as joint top wicket-taker in the Warcs 2nd XI and was voted "Most Improved 2nd XI Player of the Year" by the County side.
In Nov 2007 Calum signed a two year professional contract with Warwickshire C.C.C. working under Director of Cricket Ashley Giles and Allan Donald (Bowling Coach). Spent winter 2007/8 playing Grade cricket for Penrith, Sydney (Australia), and returned to Moseley CC as their contracted County player for 2008 in the Birmingham Premier Cricket League.
Gained his full first-class Scotland cap when he was called up for the Intercontinental Cup match against the UAE at Ayr CC in 2007, becoming the youngest Scottish player to debut at this level. During the 2008 Friends Provident series Calum played two matches (against Durham and Yorkshire), and was selected for two One Day International ties against Kenya, both of which succumbed to rain. His first ODI cap came in the historic Scotland V England match (18.08.08) at Grange CC, Edinburgh, where, batting 9, he scored 10 not out, facing 11 balls from Andrew Flintoff and Tim Bresnan, before that game, too, fell victim to rain.
Calum played National League hockey in Scotland for Stepps HC, and represented Scotland Hockey at under 16 level.
Calum played in the pro-am todiment at letchworth g.c.c.c on sept 12th 2008.His team (Old edmundians) ended up winning the comet cup.Fellow teams mates Darren Curry, Daniel Burley, Ian Boywer (Capt), Michael Turner and Dane Hirst.Team manager Richard Gillham
