Tony Abraham Green (born 1939, UK) was
announcer and co-host of the popular televisiondarts quiz "Bullseye", produced by Central forITV , and returned in the new version of the show which aired from April 2006, produced by Granada forChallenge . He also reprised his role of 'scorer' on a special edition of Bullseye which aired as part of the Gameshow Marathon series and was broadcast onITV1 on19 May 2007 .A former darts player and referee, he is the
BBC 's lead commentator for the annualWorld Professional Darts Championship staged at theLakeside Country Club in Frimley Green,Surrey . In his capacity as a BDO official, he was aprotagonist in the dispute which resulted in the formation of a rival governing body for world darts. He is also a former chair of the IDPA "(International Darts Players' Association )".In 2005, Green was named the 11th most important Tony in the country by readers of the "
Radio Times ", sandwiched betweenTony Benn in 10th andTony Hart in 12th.Green also appeared on Channel 4's "
Meet Ricky Gervais ", which ran for one series in 2000.On
