Kedzie has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Indiana University.

Recent history

Julie has won many titles including the following: 1st place at the Extreme Grappling Open (EGO) and the World Kickboxing Association National Title [ [http://www.elitexc.com/?page=fighters&fighter=julie_kedzie EliteXC : CBS Primetime Event - May 31st 2008 9pm ET/PT ] ] On November 19, 2005, she won the eight woman tournament, "Hook n' Shoot", in Evansville, Indiana. She fought on the February 10, 2007 EliteXC Destiny card, being defeated by undefeated Gina Carano via decision in what was called "the fight of the night."
