Humberto Bruni Lamanna (born
March 26 ,1957 inCaracas ,Venezuela ) is aVenezuelan classical guitar player. His career started at age fourteen, he took the first musiclessons from his own father, Blas Bruni Celli .Shortly, he began his studies as a guitar performer under the guidance of Flaminia De Sola, at the "Juan Manuel Olivares" Conservatory of Music, in Caracas. Flamnia De Sola was a distinguished disciple of Master Andrés Segovia at Siena, Italy. He made his first public appearance at age fifteen. He then got in 1980, the degree "Profesor Ejecutante de Guitarra" ("Performer and Professor of Guitar"). During 1980 he made his first appearance as a soloist with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Alberto Grau, in Caracas. A few weeks later, he made his debut in the
United States of America with theCentral Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra conducted byHarry Levenson . He also made a tour, including several recitals in the Boston area and recitals in the pacific coast. In December 1980, he was admitted at the New England Conservatory of Music, inBoston . In 1984 he got the degree "Master of Music" in Guitar Performance.Since then, Humberto Bruni has given a considerable number of recitals and public appearances as soloist in theUnited States ,Venezuela ,Caribbean Islands ,Spain andGermany .He is presently working on therecording of an "Anthology of Spanish Music for Guitar".References
