Coro Musicanova (Musicanova Choir) is an Italian polyphonic choir from Rome conducted by maestro Fabrizio Barchi.
Profile
Musicanova was formed in 1999, as a consolidation of the activity by the San Filippo youth choir. The choir intends through its concert activity, to promote the polyphonic and choral singing to the wider public, especially among young people, and to underline the deep human and cultural significance of “singing together”. The intense commitment both in Italy and abroad has led the choir to winning several prizes in regional, national and international competitions. The choir has collaborated with composers such as Ennio Morricone, Leo Brower and Marco Frisina, and with the Italian pop stars Andrea Bocelli and Mina. Other recordings include the two main CD’s “Haec Dies” and “WhiteinBlack”. In 2006 Musicanova was the official chorale of St. Paul's Basilica in Rome.
