Kathy Hill is an American
songwriter best known for her contribution togospel music in the genre ofchildren's music and works.Born in Jeffersontown,
Kentucky , Kathie Hill went on to receive a BA inMusical Theatre ,University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music . Long before becoming a prolific children's writer and producer, Kathie Hill was working weekly with kid's choirs…and still is thirty years later. "When I'm creatively drained, the kids motivate me to keep writing," she explains, "and when I'm physically drained, the music motivates me to keep teaching." This history of volunteer ministry has led Kathie to become a favorite conference leader and clinician, a former consultant forLifeWay Christian Resources , and the recipient of the International Network of Children's Ministers "Excellence in Children's Ministry Award." Kathie is also aDove Award winner, the recipient of one of theDove Awards of 1989 for Children's Music Album of the year for her work entitled, "Wise Guys and Starry Skies". She's a multiple nominee for "Best Children's Musical" and "Best Children's Album" from theGospel Music Association , and is credited with fifteenASCAP popular music awards.In 1998, Kathie Hill Music was founded in partnership with
Word Music. In that time she has authored six musicals, including "Fish Tales, Operation Christmas Child, Esther-Ordinary Faith, The Christmas SOCCER Team, Holy Moses!, The Best of Kathie Hill's Christmas, and The Best of Kathie Hill Collection". The Hills worship and serve at Long Hollow Baptist in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
