Willian Borges da Silva or simply Willian (born 9 August 1988 in Ribeirão Pires), is a Brazilian Attacking Midfielder.

Career

He started his professional career at Corinthians in 2006 and made his first professional debut against América-SP helping Timão avoid relegation to Brazilian Série B.

In 2007 he has become one of the stars of Timão, wearing the 10 shirt of Corinthians and scoring his first 2 goals against Atlético-PR on 2nd August 2007 [http://www.zerozero.pt/uk/jogo.php?id=245108] .

On August 23, 2007 he signed a 5-year contract with Ukrainian Premier League club Shakhtar Donetsk for 12 million euros [http://shakhtar.com/cgi-bin/fc-sh/allnews.pl?id=5267] .

National Team U20

As a member of the U-20 Brazil team, he made his debut in U-20 South-American Championship against Chile on January 7, 2007 which Brazil went on to win.
