World Eight-ball Pool Federation

World Eight-ball Pool Federation

The World Eight-ball Pool Federation is an international pool governing body overseeing international tournaments and rankings (sometimes called, as evidenced by the organisation name, eight-ball, which is ambiguous, as that term more globally applies to the related American-style game). As such, the WEPF competes for authority and membership with the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA), which produces its own differing blackball rules and tournaments.

The current men's champion is England's Gareth Potts who beat fellow countryman and former champion Mick Hill 11-4 in the Final. In the ladies event, Sue Thompson of Scotland retained the ladies title after beating Northern Ireland's Emma Cunningham 8-3. The tournaments were held at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool, UK from 2 July to 12 July 2007.
