Andrew Slack

Andrew Slack (born Brisbane 24/09/1955) was an Australian Rugby Union player for the QLD Reds in the late 70's and early 80's. Slack represented QLD a massive 133 times, only surpassed by Mark Connors in 2006.

Andrew Slack attended school at Villanova College, Coorparoo before playing centre for the Reds and going on to play for Australia, representing Australia 39 tests and co captain the Wallabies in 19 of them. His most notable tests would have been the 1984 Wallabies Grand Slam tour of England, Wales and Scotland, the first Australian side to achieve such a feat.

Andrew Slack also coached the QLD Reds in 2003, a season which saw the Reds finish 8th, Andrew quit as coach after the unsuccessful season.

He's the current head of Sport at QTQ News in Brisbane
