Tōbu Daishi Line

The nihongo|Tōbu Daishi Line|東武大師線|Tōbu Daishi-sen is a 1.0 km train line, owned and operated by Tōbu Railway. It runs only in Adachi, Tokyo, Japan, from Nishiarai Station to Daishimae Station.

This line forms part of the proposed nihongo|Tōbu Nishi-Ita Line|東武西板線|Tōbu nishi-ita-sen which was never completed. The Tōbu Nishi-Ita line was intended to link the Tōbu Isesaki Line and Tōbu Tōjō Line to allow efficient transfer of rolling stock, and improve the service for residents along the line.

History

* December 20, 1931: Opens as Tōbu Nishi-Ita Line from Nishiarai to Daishimae, total distance 1.1 km.
* May 20, 1945: Operation is suspended.
* May 21, 1947: Operation resumes as Tōbu Daishi Line.
* December 1, 1968: Daishimae station is relocated due to extension of a circumference road, shortening line by 100 m.
* July 26, 1991: Track is elevated.
* March 19, 2003: Driver-only operation starts.
