Hipólito Rincón Povedano, or Poli Rincón, (born April 28, 1957 in Madrid), was a Spanish footballer who played for La Liga sides Real Madrid, Recreativo de Huelva, Real Valladolid and Real Betis. Rincón completed 16 games for Real Madrid, scoring 3 goals. Rincón had a much more successful time when he moved to Seville based side Real Betis. In his Betis career, spanning almost ten years (from 1981 to 1989), he scored 78 goals in 223 league games. He earned 23 caps and scored 10 goals for the Spain national football team from 1983 to 1986, and was selected to the 1986 FIFA World Cup squad.
