Adrian Love (born
3 August 1944 inYork –11 March 1999 ) was a Britishradio presenter . He was the son of musicianGeoff Love .He attended Tottenham Grammar School and after working for Burton the tailors, he began his radio career in 1966 working for Radio City on the Shivering Sands Fort. He them moved ashore with a brief stint on the BBC
Light Programme which in turn led to work on theBBC World Service .He then took on the role of station manager at UBN, based at the
United Biscuits works in Harlesden. Whilst there he recruited subsequent Capital colleaguesRoger Scott andGraham Dene , as well as givingDale Winton his first radio break. The launch of commercial radio in 1973 saw him move first toLBC and then toCapital Radio , where he stayed for eight years.In 1981, he returned to the BBC, presenting programmes for Radio One, Radio Two and
Radio Four . Other stations he worked at included BFBS, Classic FM and his last four years as a presenter atBBC Southern Counties Radio .In December 1997, he was seriously injured in a car crash from which he never completely recovered, eventually succumbing to a collapsed lung over a year later. He left behind a wife and three children.
