White River High School is located on an 84 acre site in Buckley, Washington. At one point, the school was known as Buckley High School.

In September 2003, White River moved into a new convert|240000|sqft|m2|sing=on facility [http://www.whiteriver.wednet.edu/Docs/PerformanceReports/WRHS06.pdf] . The design by INTEGRUS Arcitecture won numerous awards. Landscape Architectural services were provided by Cascade Design Collaborative, Inc. The design focuses on separating the school into five Career Path sections -Arts and Communications, Health and Human Services, Business and Marketing, Science and Natural Resources, and Engineering and Technology- for upper classmen and three core class sections for underclassmen.
