----Bobby Schayer was born on December 23,1966 in Los Angeles, California. He was the
drum mer forBad Religion from1991 to2001 . He was raised in the town of Encino. (a suburb of L.A.'s San Fernando Valley). It's been said that his interest in drumming began in 1976 at age 10 but it wasn't until 1980 that he became a student of original Circle Jerks drummer Lucky Lehrer.Bobby joined Bad Religion in April 1991 after previous drummer,
Peter Finestone , left the band after their fifth LP, "Against the Grain". He was present on their sixth LP, "Generator", in1992 . He also played drums on "Recipe For Hate" (1993 ), "Stranger Than Fiction" (1994 ), "The Gray Race" (1996 ), "Tested" (1997 ), "No Substance" (1998 ), and "The New America " in2000 . In 2001 he suffered an injury to his shoulder, leaving him unable to drum professionally. Schayer was replaced byBrooks Wackerman , ex of The Vandals, Suicidal Tendencies & Bad 4 Good. However, he was thanked in the booklet of the band's next album, "The Process of Belief " (2002 ). Bobby Schayer now lives and divides his time betweenNew York City andLondon ,U.K . He works as a music teacher and drum technician.
