- Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants
The Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) is the leading professional association dedicated to enhancing the success of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). Founded in 1909, the VSCPA has approximately 8,300 members who work in public accounting, industry, government and education. The VSCPA serves as a central source of information for its members, offering a wealth of education programs, representing the interests of CPAs and the public before legislators and regulators, and working to enhance and promote the CPA profession with the general public, media, legislators, educators and students.
Through its award-winning Financial Fitness program, the VSCPA also provides a wealth of pro bono, community service programs designed to improve the financial health of Virginians. Virginia CPAs reach out and assist the public year-round through programs such as Nonprofit Pro Bono Assistance, Speakers Bureau, Virginia Disaster Recovery Help, Virginia Military Tax Help, "Ask a CPA" E-mail Program (free tax and personal finance assistance), tax season resources, free consumer workshops on money management topics, and more.
