Boaz Frankel (born
Portland, Oregon ,24 May 1982 ) is a television personality, who hosted and co-created Clips & Quips and currently hosts Backstage Live. As a kid, Boaz adoredJim Henson and theMuppets , and his love for them continues to this very day.Boaz eventually left Portland to attend
New York University 'sTisch School of the Arts . It is at NYU where Boaz created "On The Cusp", the most popular show to ever air on NYU TV. In 2004, Boaz appeared on the Today Show's "The Intern" segment where he went on to win the top prize. It was also during this year that Boaz appeared on the very short-lived WB reality show,Studio 7 . Over the past two years, Boaz Frankel has made a name for himself on the tv circuit. He revolutionized the world of kazooing by having the first kazoo-sponsored TV show and even taughtPeter Sarsgaard to playkazoo andSarah Silverman to playdreidel . In June of 2007, Boaz brought Clips & Quips to an end and began development of Backstage Live, a new online entertainment talk show forGroupee .In addition to these accomplishments, Boaz recently broke the
Guinness World Record for "most high-fives in an hour", an event which took place inPioneer Courthouse Square inPortland, Oregon . "I definitely see myself moving back to Portland in a few years...it's just so wonderful here, the best place on earth" said Frankel when asked about future plans.
