frozen =Buckland Hill Reservoir is situated north of Fremantle,
Western Australia . It is the most westerlyreservoir in the Perth metropolitan area and provides sweeping views from the takes on Rottnest and Garden Islands and Fremantle Port and Swan River mouth to the west andLucky Bay and Bicton and East Fremantle to the east. The reservoir is generally filled with water from the dams and also features a high tech treatment plant. It supplies nearby houses with water through gravity. The reservoir is built on top of a limestone ridge adjacent the lighthouse and was constructed with a obelisk between 1934 and 1935. The obelisk had to be shifted after the completion of construction of the reservoir. The hill was originally a much greater height but was quarried for the limestone. In 1941 the reservoir was forced to share the hill with the
Royal Australian Army 'sLeighton Battery . The area around the reservoir is a popular parking place for lovers.ee also
