"Love on Delivery" (破壞之王; aka. "King of Destruction") is a 1994 Hong Kong comedy film directed by Stephen Chow and Lee Lik-Chi, starring Stephen Chow, Christy Chung and Ng Man Tat.

Plot

Ho Kam-An (Stephen Chow), a weak and disadvantaged but very kind lunch delivery boy, happens to fall in love with Lily (Christy Chung) the girl of his dreams from his local sport center. Only to have his dream crushed after a disastrous date in which Lily was punched in the face by accident from a bullying Judo master named Black Bear when Ho showed his cowardice (whom was ducking from Black Bear fist). Later that night in a straight forward way Lily told Ho that she dislike weak and pathetic men.

A heartbroken Ho was walking aimlessly until he came upon a convenient store owned by Tat (Ng Man Tat) whom claims to know a secret kung fu that will turn any pathetic weaklings into a champion in short time, to reinforce that dream, Ho gladly accepted Tat as his sifu. What Ho wasn't aware of is that Tat is actually a swindler who taught him only useless fantasy kung fu techniques. During the examination day Tat tried to get rid of Ho (only because Ho was fired from his work and hence he is dirt poor and couldn't pay for the fees) by teaching him "invincible wind and fire wheel", Ho was told to roll downwards towards a flight of few hundred steps (in the hope of seriously injuring Ho so he won' bother Tat anymore). However Tat had a change of heart later on and tried to stop Ho from rolling down the steps only to accidentally roll down the steps himself and seriously injuring himself, however Ho who been watching Tat had mistakenly thinking that Tat sacrificed himself to teach him the secret art of "invincible wind and fire wheel" said that he now know how to do this secret technique.

Lily is assaulted by Black Bear and his goons after a failed attempt to woe her, but Ho mysteriously turns up wearing a Garfield mask to rescue her. A one-sided fight occurs between Black Bear and Ho in which no matter how many times Black Bear knocks down Ho he still manages to continue the fight. At the end Ho manages to use the Invincible Firewheel on Black Bear and they both roll down a set of stairs, injuring Black Bear and leaving Lily in a state of shock.

Ho later on tries to tell Lily that it was he who saved her that day. However, Lily's boyfriend Niu, a karate champion from Japan, claims that he was the one who saved her. In a fit of rage during a press conference where Niu brags about his rescue of Lily, Ho challenges Niu to a MMA style combat match to prove it was he who saved Lily's life.

The next day, Ho together with a reluctant Tat was personally going to give Niu a "letter of challenge" in the sport club, they witnessed a brief confrontation with Niu brutally defeating the other resident martial artists in the sport club (a boxer, Kenjutsu master, Taekwando master and Black Bear from the Judo club) after Niu arrogantly provoked them by asking them to join the karate club instead. As Ho was about to cancel the challenge Tat insisted Ho to accepted Niu challenge in a dead match and hedge bet that he will train Ho to survive within 3 rounds (in which technically if Niu couldn't kill Ho, he would consider Ho as the winner). Also it was revealed from Niu that Tat used to be an MMA world champion in Chinese Kung Fu defending his title for 10 years with the nickname "Demon muscle man" and also "black star of Karate", before having his leg broken by Niu's sensei during one fateful match and then disappearing into obscurity.

During the one month training, Tat knows that Ho is too physical weak to win in an actual fight and also one month is to short to teach him all the offensive technique, so Tat was going to teach him only the defending technique and also devises a strategy to hold on the 3 rounds. During those training weeks, the reporters and spies only see Ho partying and relaxing comfortable, without doing actual "training". This only unnerves and frustrate Niu more and more, also the spies sometimes see Ho in a dangerously high speed pickup truck swinging back and forth while Ho is trying to cling fast at the back.

In the night of the fight, Lily finally realised that it was Ho that saved her. As she was planning to stop the fight since she knew Ho wouldn't stand a chance, the elevator she was using suddenly broke down and she was stuck in there only relying on the radio to listen to the match.

During the first round, Ho would use intimidation by standing with his back towards Niu while, this making the karate master Niu feeling confused and too careful. It was actually just a ruse to draw out the time in the first round. During the first round, since nothing happened the commentators was forced to spice up the match by reading an excerpt from Jinyong Wuxia novel (later on due to a mishap changed into a erotic novel) or else getting fired from their jobs since their radio and television studio put a lot of money to promote the match.

For the second round, Tat knew that Niu would go into offensive mode, Ho would wear down the karate champion with submissions and sucker punches. While Tat would deliberately distract Niu by juggle with offensive weapons outside the ring.

In the third round, the delivery boy would use the ultimate defensive technique, the "lock", in which the training with the pickup truck was actually a way to teach Ho clinging fast a moving object or opponent. Ho managed to lock Niu the whole 3rd round while being punched by Niu repeately, as Ho was about to release his hands due to weariness and the constant strikes from Niu, the final bell rang. Just then, Lily came to the ring after the elevator was finally repaired, she was relived to see Ho alive and also came to his corner.

Although Ho didn't officially win the match from decision, he personally won the bet against Niu of surviving the 3 rounds. After Ho wins the bet, Niu snaps as he was both enraged of not managed to kill Ho and also seeing Lily congratulate Ho instead of him, he went into a rampage destroying everyone in the ring including the martial art judges and the whole studio.

Until Ho decided to put a stop to Niu violent rampage, he uses the "Invincible Fire Wheel" on a big lottery staircase wheel to defeat him. After defeating Niu, he asks Lily for a date to go to a Leon Lai concert in which she gladly accept.
