"Veliki brat 2006", the very first season of "Veliki brat" ran from September 15, 2006 to December 31, 2006 (107 days in total).

There were 14 housemates originally. Throughout the course of the show five more housemates were brought in.

The winner was Ivan Ljuba, medicine student and pianist from Belgrade.

The first season quickly became a ratings hit on Serbian television, but has also received plenty of criticism.

Preview

The 1st season lasted for 107 days.

Day 1: The housemates publicly evicted Srba.

Day 3: The housemates got their first task "Best friends"

Day 8: The first love began to show. Marko and Daliborka gave each other some masages and shared intimate conversations, which made people believe they were in love, but they both denied.

Day 12: A new housemate, Branislav entered the house. The housemates, or the viewers didn't like him and he was evicted after 2 weeks.

Day 14: The favourite for the victory, Miroslav left the house. He said he couldn't handle the separation from the world. This made him an even bigger celebrity.

Day 15: The housemates gave Marko an amazing birthday party, with striptease and sexy dances between couples that everyone remembered.

Day 20: Marko starts separating from Daliborka, and gets together with Ena.

Day 29: Jadranka, who was presented as a Gold Woman, with gold hands entered the house. .. Many people criticized this, because she was too old, and said she won't stay in the house for more than 2 or 3 weeks. Still she managed to get to the semi final and left on day 106, one day before the Grand Final.

Day 50: Three more housemates - Sanja, Aleksandra and Sava entered the house. .. They will compete for half of the prize - 50.000 euros.

Days 57 - 63: There was a voting to bring back 1 housemate. Marko had the most votes. Maja was the runner up.

Day 64 - Marko entered the house again, and Nikola and Sanja were avicted. But Nikola and Sanja, together with Maja ( Which was 2nd place for returning in the house ), were put in a room inside the house, that nobody but them knew about - "The secret garden of second chance. ..". They were to stay there for 3 days and take food and other needed things secretly from the house. Later, Big brother gave Sava a secret task - to help secret housemates and provide them with groceries. ..

Day 65: Marko and Ena started showing their love to the public. .. Many people thought they had sex under the sheets but they denied. ..

Day 76 The future winner Ivan succeeded in breaking one of the "Big Brother World Records" by memorizing all 202 items from given memory cards and surpassed the necessary number of 81 by far. He succeeded in 2 out of 4 tries and came close to breaking the record from the 'Guinness World Records' memory challenge.

Day 85 - Sava left the house voluntarily.

Day 89 - There was a big party in the house. It stayed remembered by the girls licking and sucking a banana, behaving with it like it was a penis. The public rected on this scene and evicted Daliborka on Day 106, the first time she was nominated after the scene.

Day 106 - The presenter surprised the housemates telling them two of them will leave the house. Daliborka and Jadranka were evicted.

Nominations Table

fnb|1 On Day 1 Housemates had to Nominate in front of one another. All Housemates except for Miroslav, who won an immunity challenge, were eligible and Srba, who received the most votes, was Evicted. The only other Housemates apart from Srba to receive any votes were Ena and Veselina.

fnb|3 Housemates joined the "Veliki Brat Fan Club" individually, by the end of the Week the five Housemates who had not been invited to join automatically faced the Public Vote.
fnb|4 Marko was banned from Nominating and placed up for Eviction by Veliki Brat for persistent rule-breaking.
fnb|5 New Housemate Jadankra had sole responsibility for choosing this Week's Nominees - she chose Ena and Nikola - who were joined by Jelena as punishment for her forgetting to wear her microphone on multiple occasions.
fnb|6 All Housemates automatically faced Eviction this Week. Only the top three percentages were revealed.
fnb|7 Daliborka, Ena and Marko were banned from Nominating for discussing Nominations.
fnb|8 New Hosuemates Aleksander, Sanja and Sava were immune from Nomination this Week as they were New Housemates, they could, however, Nominate.
fnb|9 Aleksandra, Nikola, Sanja & Sava were banned from Nominating as punishment for discussing Nominations. Aleksandra, Jadranka and Nikola received the most nominations with 3 each and were put up for Eviction. Big Brother also decided to put Sanja and Sava up for eviction as further punishment for discussing Nominations. Aleksandra and Nikola would also have been nominated by Veliki Brat had they not already been Nominated by the Housemates. This Week was a Vote to move - with the two Nominated Housemates with the most Votes moving into the Secret Garden.
fnb|10 Shortly after Ðankarlo's Eviction lines opened on the eight Evicted Housemates, with the Public allowed to choose who should return. Marko received the most Votes (43% of the Vote) and moved straight to the Main House. Maja finished second in the Vote with 35.4% and joined Nikola and Sanja in the Secret Garden. They returned to the Main House two days later to the surprise of their fellow Housemates.
fnb|11 The two returning Housemates - Marco and Maja - were immune from Nomination in their first Week back in the House, however they could Nominate.
fnb|12 Ivan won immunity from this Week's Nomiantions in a memory challenge set by Veliki Brat - he could Nominate but not be Nomianted.
fnb|13 This week as a punishment, Sava was given the job of cleaning up the whole House. However, he gave up the cleaning before he had finished. The other Housemates finished off the cleaning without permission from Big Brother. As punishment Veliki Brat automatically Nominated all Housemates with the exception of Sava. Only the top three percentages were revealed.
fnb|14 Nikola was banned from Nominating this Week for discussing Nominations.
fnb|15 The final six Housemates faced the Public Vote to win. The percentages were not revealed but it was announced that Jadranka and Daliborka received a combined total of 6,720 votes.
fnb|16 The four finalists all faced the Public Vote to win, the percentages were not revealed but it was announced that Aleksandra received 10,107 votes and Dragana received 66,085 votes.
fnb|17 Edin and Ivan, the final two Housemates both automatically faced the Public Vote to win.
