The Homeowner Protection Office is a Crown Corporation of the province of British Columbia, Canada.Created in 1998, it was established in response to findings by the Barrett Commission, which reported to the government on the quality of Condominium Construction in British Columbia.
Based in Vancouver, its functions concern the licensing of residential builders, overseeing grant programs for owners of leaky condominiums, and a research and educational component concerning residential construction in the province.
