Hampton, Virginia . Named after the nearby neighborhood and former township of Phoebus, it is the newest of the four high schools in the city. Considered unique for its excellent technology, culinary arts, and music programs, the school provides many opportunities for students to engage in various fields of study. Originally designed as an "Open-Concept" school, permanent interior walls were minimized in favor of partitions that could be adjusted depending on building needs. Over the years, walls have been constructed for many classrooms, resulting in difficulties with climate control. In addition, few classrooms have individual windows or light switches.About Phoebus
