academic economist. He was born in Manchester and educated at theUniversity of Warwick , theLondon School of Economics andNuffield College, Oxford .Current and past employment
Gareth Myles is currently Professor of Economics at the
University of Exeter and a Research Fellow of theInstitute for Fiscal Studies . He is an Academic Adviser to the HM Treasury and HM Revenue and Customs. He is one of the Managing Editors ofFiscal Studies , an Associate Editor of theJournal of Public Economic Theory , and an Associate Editor of theInternational Journal of Business and Economics .Publications
